A handover pack is not an operational record
Folders and document portals can store files, but property management still has to interpret, reorganise and reconnect them to the correct building, home, asset, resident and responsibility.
Create the record around the property
Projects, homes, specifications, assets, photographs, warranty information and activity should be structured around the property from the outset. Every later participant can then inherit the same context without rebuilding it.
Preserve building knowledge when people change
The building remains after the people managing it change. Property managers move on. Contractors change. New residents arrive. A living property record keeps operational knowledge attached to the property rather than the individual who happened to manage it.
Continue beyond move-in
The same foundation can support snagging, warranty, maintenance, communications and authorised ownership or occupancy transfer. The home has a record. It stays with the home.
