Website Terms
The terms that apply when you use the HomeBook website.
We are HomeBook Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 14723792 and a registered office at 1 Bell Lane, Lewes, England, BN7 1JU (hereafter “HomeBook”, “we” or “us”).
These Website Terms (“Terms”) set out the terms between you and us when you access our website at www.home-book.co.uk (the “Website”). These Terms apply to all users of, and visitors to, the Website. If you decide to sign up and register to use our app (the “App”), additional terms will apply to you. Your use of the Website means that you accept and agree to abide by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
These Terms take effect from the date of your first use of the Website.

1. Your use of the Website
- You may not deploy within our Website any bot, spider, web crawler or other automated query program at any time for any reason. We prohibit scraping, crawling, caching or otherwise accessing content on the Website. The use of automated systems or software to extract Website data for commercial purposes is prohibited unless you have a written licence agreement with us which permits you to do so.
- Any material you send or post to the Website, excluding personal data which is dealt with in accordance with our Privacy Policy, shall be considered neither confidential nor proprietary. We shall have no obligations with respect to such material and shall be free to host, display and otherwise use it for any purpose anywhere in the world.
2. Intellectual property
- The Website and its content, including all articles, photographs, images, text, fonts, the HomeBook name and logo, and designs, is owned by us and our licensors unless indicated otherwise, and is protected by copyright, trade marks, database rights, design rights and other intellectual-property rights.
- You may view, retrieve and display the Website content on a computer screen or other internet-connected device, or print copies for your own internal business use, provided you keep intact all copyright and proprietary notices and do not otherwise reproduce, copy, distribute, resell or use it for any other purpose.
- If you wish to reproduce Website content outside your own internal business use, including as part of any company website, contact alex.minashi@home-book.co.uk. Permission is at our sole discretion.
3. Our liability
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other loss or damage for which liability cannot be limited or excluded by law.
- Subject to the clause above, we are not liable to you in contract, tort, including negligence or breach of statutory duty or misrepresentation, or any other common-law or statutory cause of action for direct, indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential loss arising out of or in connection with:
- the Website leading to loss of goodwill, business opportunities, profits or contracts, anticipated savings, management time or office time;
- any human or technical error or omission in the Website;
- loss or corruption of content or data, or damage caused by viruses, bugs, worms, trojan horses, bots or other harmful components;
- failure of your software, hardware or internet connection;
- errors or omissions in your use of the Website, use contrary to our instructions, or use after notice of alleged or actual infringement from an appropriate authority;
- modification of the Website by anyone other than us; or
- unauthorised access to the Website through accident or fraudulent means or devices.
- The Website content does not constitute professional advice or detailed guidance. While we try to ensure it is correct, reputable and of high quality, we give no representation or warranty that it is accurate, complete or current. We shall not be liable for reliance placed on the content by you or a third party.
You accept sole responsibility for the lawfulness of your use of the Website and your decision whether to register an account.
4. Third-party websites and advertising
- The Website may contain links to websites or material beyond our control. We are not responsible for content on third-party websites.
- The Website may contain advertising and sponsorship. Advertisers and sponsors are responsible for ensuring submitted material complies with applicable laws and industry codes. We are not liable for errors or inaccuracies in advertising or sponsorship materials, or for loss suffered as a result.
5. Availability and performance
- We make no promise that the Website will meet your requirements and cannot guarantee that it will be fault-free. If a fault occurs, report it to alex.minashi@home-book.co.uk and we will attempt to correct it as soon as reasonably possible. Access may occasionally be restricted for repairs, maintenance or new facilities or services.
- We do not guarantee that the Website will be secure or free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your information technology, programs and platform, and should use your own virus-protection software.
6. General terms
We may update these Terms from time to time for legal or regulatory reasons, or to allow the proper operation of the Website. Changes will be notified through a suitable Website announcement and will apply after notice. If you do not wish to accept the new Terms, you should not continue to use the Website. Continuing to use the Website after a change takes effect indicates your agreement to be bound by it.
7. Law and jurisdiction
- These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or your use of the Website are subject to the laws of England and Wales. We will try to solve disagreements quickly and efficiently. Court proceedings must be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
- We make no promise that Website materials are appropriate or available outside the United Kingdom. Accessing the Website from territories where its content is illegal or unlawful is prohibited. If you access it from outside the United Kingdom, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
